Cannabis flower monograph published
The new European Pharmacopoeia monograph on Cannabis flower (3028) has reportedly been officially published in Ph. Eur. Supplement 11.5, according to GMP-Compliance.
The monograph had been pre-published in October 2023 on the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM), Council of Europe website.
GMP-Compliance notes a number of additional requirements have been added, compared to the version published in October, in the limits for content, in the production section, and in the tests for foreign matter and heavy metals (when being prescribed medicinally).
They also note the limit for Loss on drying (LOD) has also been set to a maximum of 12% (this was 10% in the draft version).

The monograph is due to come into effect on 1 July 2024.
