A purpose-driven, public facing organisation operating with full transparency, the Centre for Evidence Based Drug Policy’s (formerly the Conservative Drug Policy Reform Group) mission is to assemble and present evidence drawn from across the spectrum of medicine, law-enforcement, economics, ethics, criminology and human rights, for the benefit of drug policy-making in the UK.
We believe that drug policies should be evidence based, public health focused, and should balance the human rights of the individual against harms to society. We are currently focussing on identifying and reducing barriers to accessing medical cannabis that leave more than a million in the UK without safe, legal, appropriate cannabis-based medicinal products.
